The advent of the new savings and investment economy has paved a new way for companies to increase their global customer base through apps that offer incentives for being a member.

As the Industry gets flooded, the competition get fiercer, which ultimately leads to more incentives for you and I. Who doesn’t want some free cash?!?

From groceries to gas and everything in between, you will certainly find an app that pays you for virtually ‘doing nothing.’

This article highlights the apps under two categories – Apps that save money and apps that invest money.

Apps that Save Money

These apps give you cash back for shopping with them, thus, helping you to save a substantial amount at the end of the day [of course, I mean that figuratively].

1. Ibotta Gives You More Money for Groceries

Ibotta is a free app that gives you cashback on items you purchase from stores that partner with it. The store and the items you are buying must correspond to the deals listed in the Ibotta app.

The Ibotta app is one of the earliest cashback apps in the industry. They partner with hundreds of popular stores to ensure everyone finds his or her favorite items. In addition, this gives you the opportunity to choose the stores with the best offers.

2. Ebates Pays You For Everything

Think free cash, think Ebates! The renowned Ebates app gives you up to 40% cash back when you shop through it. Incredible, right?

How does it work?

Shopping with Ebates is just like your normal shopping – or even better. All you’ve got to do is to sign up as a member, choose the company you wish to shop from, and make your purchase.

If a store offers 10% cashback and you spend $100, you will receive $10 just for shopping through Ebates.

There are several ways to earn from Ebates. From your routine shopping to additional bonuses such as referral bonus, sign-up bonus, and coupon bonuses.

3. Swagbucks Pays You For Having Internet Connection

Swagbucks is a cashback app that pays you for almost everything you do online. Through this app, you can earn free cash for doing your routine shopping, online gaming, surfing the web, and other daily routines. Ridiculous, right?

Who pays you for living your life?!? well, Swagbucks does!

And here is how it works.

You are required to have an internet connection, download the app, sign up as a member and get started on your ride to cool cash.

Unlike most apps, Swagbucks provides several means of earning points (SB’s), which you can exchange for gift cards or withdraw through PayPal. Swagbucks pays you for surfing the web, watching online videos, completing easy surveys, participating in the daily poll, playing online games, and shopping.

As if that wasn’t enough cash, Swagbucks gives you additional points for redeeming special offers, referring friends, and signing up.

4. Fetch Rewards Pays You For Grocery Shopping

Do you know some apps pay you just for having them? Well, now you do and Fetch Rewards is one of such apps. Unlike the conventional cashback apps, Fetch Rewards pays you without breaking a sweat. You do not have to search the town for a partner store or spend all day on coupons and surveys. You are rewarded for downloading the app and making your regular purchases. All you have to do is scan your grocery receipt after your done shopping!

5. Trunow Pays you Every Time You Purchase Gas

Ever imagine being paid for spending money on gas? Thanks to Trunow, now you can!

In fact, Trunow does so much more than give you cash back. This app also helps you to locate the lowest price gas stations as well as how far they are from you. This way you are able to choose the closest gas station with the best price.

In addition, Trunow acts as a rebate app that pays you when you purchase food or drinks from participating convenience stores. Trunow is a complete package!

And all you have got to do to earn some cool cash is to download the app, sign up as a member, locate a gas station or convenience store, make a purchase, scan your receipt, and get PAID!

Apps that Invest Money

As the title implies, these apps help you to save for your future by getting you involved with investing.

  1. Acorns App Help You Invest Your Spare Change

Acorns is an app that rounds up every purchase you make to the next dollar and invest the spare change. For example, you buy a product worth $7.50 in a store, Acorns would deduct $8 from your linked bank account instead of $7.50. The little spill over – $.50 – will then be invested into your investment account.

The change is so little that it does not really have an obvious effect on your finances. So, you are actually investing without stress.
